Re: How do I not look like shit when I step outside?
Morning @bignosegirly0 and nice to meet you. I don’t think we’ve ever met before on the boards!
I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with looking different when you’re inside and outside I think it’s really a light thing I think when you’re outside things become a lot clearer and you can see things more easily. Have you spoken to anybody about your worries around how you look? I think that you’re doing great and that it can be really hard sometimes to like compare yourself but just keep being you and your awesomeness will shine through
Sending hugs

Re: (Mentions of suicidal ideation) What the fuck is wrong with me?
I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling with such heavy and difficult feelings @bignosegirly0
We're here for you, and you absolutely do deserve to be heard and valued. Echoing what's written above, perhaps this feeling of detachment is a way of your mind coping with these fears and emotions?
Sending hugs

Re: im trying to keep going 😕
Hey @eylah, thanks for keeping us posted. That sounds really hard, and it makes so much sense that while a part of you is enjoying the independence, it also feels very lonely to be on your own now. Both those things can absolutely be true at once, and it feels really huge that you're in your new flat now after all these months of waiting. It's such a big change, and it feels really special that we can be a small part of that with you here
When you're lonely, what do you feel you crave most or need?
Also, are there any little corners or bits of your new flat that you enjoy? I'd love to hear more about your new home if you wanted to describe it to us a bit

Re: Interview
TheNightmare wrote: »Hi @TheNightmare I heard that you just recently had an interview for the work placement that you did. I hope the interview went well and that you feel a bit better now since you have done it. I know job interviews can be super scary attending (I speak from experience). I know sometimes in those situations as well if it helps you can always email the company interviewing and ask for reasonable ajustments in the interview such as having extra time to answer questions as well as even asking to have the interview questions sent to you the day before the interview so then you can prepare for what they will be asking you on the day. I hope everything goes well for you right now and I hope something good happens as well (because only things can go up right now as I tend to say). You got this and if not its still experience and you learn from it as well. Also, if you are able to you could always ask for feedback as well too. I can imagine though how anxious you must be feeling right especially after doing the interview too.
@Amy22 Thanks so much for your support! The interview was nerve-wracking, but I’m glad I did it. Your tips about reasonable adjustments are really helpful—I’ll keep those in mind for next time. I appreciate your encouragement!
No worries im more than happy to help you out right now because I get how difficult it can be doing interviews and sorting out work placements. I can imagine the interview being very nerve-wracking because it is scary being asked lots of questions as well. I find sometimes I struggle with questions about myself like when they ask me who I am as a person and stuff. I normally tend to write down in a notebook some pointers of stuff I can talk about as well as questions to ask the company too. Reasonable adjustments can be quite helpful as well because then the interviewer can help you feel more prepared and to get you to be your best self too as well. No worries again im always here too if you need any help or even prep for interviews
